A Taste of Brittany tour

This tour will take you from the northern pink granite coast of this region to the blue seas of the south to discover the maritime history, changing landscapes and many towns, villages and small fishing ports on the way.

Our local experts have carefully designed this 4 night itinerary to explore the charming spots of Brittany such as the small seaside resort of Les Sables d’Or les Pins with its golden sandy beaches (as the name suggests) to pretty Josselin with its pepper pot château and dolls museum.

En route stop off at the bustling market town of Morlaix before you reach France’s most westerly point at Plougonvelin for spectacular views especially from the lighthouse which is right by your hotel for your 2nd overnight stay.

Wherever you are, don't forget that the GR34 hiking path is never far away as it winds its way along the coast providing great walks where you will uncover hidden coves & dunes and enjoy even more fabulous views!

And of course indulging in some tempting regional specialities is a must – try the fresh seafood that is brought into the lovely harbour of Douarnenez and found on many a restaurant menu by the port or in the main square.

Heading for Josselin beautiful old towns like Quimper and Concarneau are certainly worth a visit. If you can find the time, a boat trip from Vannes around the stunning islands of the Gulf of Morbihan is highly recommended too.

Tours can start on any day from any town on the itinerary but must follow the route in either direction. Approximate tour distances are calculated from the first to the last location. Should any location be unavailable we'll advise alternatives.

Hotel directions

With your travel documents you will find an information sheet for each hotel which has been booked for you giving directions together with some further details.

Arrival

Unless stated, you will be expected to arrive at each of the hotels pre-booked for you by 6pm each day. This should allow you time to have a fairly leisurely drive between hotel stops but if you find you will be arriving later than this please ring and advise the hotelier so that your room is held for you.

Extra charges

All additional meals, drinks, phone calls etc must be paid for prior to departure from the hotel.
