Latitude Ouest Hotel Restaurant & Spa 3*

In lovely quiet surroundings on the outskirts of Locronan, the family-run Hotel Latitude Ouest and its spacious grounds is surrounded by woods and just a short drive from the beach in Plonévez-Porzay. It has a very good restaurant (closed Sun) and bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities - those on the ground floor also have access to the garden where there is a children's play area. Leisure facilities include a sauna and jacuzzi (charge payable) which can be booked for private use along with massages and facials. Pet accepted 5€/night.

With its impressive Renaissance houses and mainly traffic-free cobbled streets, it may come as no surprise that the beautifully preserved granite village of Locronan is one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France. Featured in many films and visited by thousands of tourists throughout the year, its little streets are interspersed with cafes, restaurants and crêperies plus some pretty good leather and weaving workshops. There is even a museum which charts the history of this medieval sail-making centre.

The Névet woods, which you can access from the hotel, have lots of lovely walking trails and cycling paths and are full of interesting birds and animals.
