Hotel de Diane 4*

Well located in the resort centre, not far from the beach, the Hotel de Diane was one of the first 6 hotels built here back in 1925. Run by friendly owners and staff it offers tranquil, relaxing accommodation including a pleasant bar and restaurant (closed Sun/Mon) plus a lovely lounge/tea room for relaxing. Guests also have the use of a sauna and spa services including a jacuzzi and massage bath (charges apply for these). Breakfast each morning has a varied selection of good homemade produce. Pet accepted (max 2 per room) 20€/night.

Established in the 1920s by an estate agent from St Malo, Les Sables d'Or is a small family summer resort on Brittany's Emerald Coast close to Cap Fréhel, a spectacular headland sat high on a limestone cliff overlooking the sea on one side and countryside on the other. Nestling amongst sand dunes and delightfully scented pine forest, the resort has a huge sandy beach which is considered to be one of the finest in the region and this together with its golf course and casino is popular with visiting Parisians. There is a wide range of leisure facilities on offer in season that includes watersports and sailing, children's beach club, riding, tennis and bicycle hire along with a varied choice of restaurants, cafés and bars, plus numerous cycle and walking paths, some marked, others not.
