About Barfleur

Ship information and on board services

Barfleur operates up to two crossings daily between the ports of Poole and Cherbourg.

Launched in 1992, the Barfleur is named after a picturesque, small fishing village in Normandy, only 25 kilometres from Cherbourg. Smaller than the rest of the fleet, she offers en suite cabin accommodation with or without porthole, self service restaurant, bar and reserved seats lounge.

Please note that on busier sailings a small number of vehicles may be parked in an open area on deck.

Barfleur takes her name from a picturesque fishing village in Normandy not far from Cherbourg, and lives up to her namesake with a friendly intimate atmosphere providing the perfect beginning or end to your holiday.

On board you'll enjoy award-winning service and top-class facilities, not to mention French chefs and friendly bi-lingual staff, all combining to create a truly French experience from the moment you drive aboard.
