Arriving from the motorways A-67 or S-10 Follow signs for "Santander" ignoring the yellow "Puerto" signs. On approaching the city and after passing the car dealerships, drive through a small tunnel. After 800m, bear right following the bright yellow sign for Ferry (it will have a car symbol) then continue until you reach a small roundabout. Take the third exit and go through the Port of Santander control point (also signed for "Ferry" in orange). Arriving from Santander city centre From the sea front at Pereda Gardens with the Brittany terminal on your left, follow the orange signs for "Ferry". You will be directed to bear right on "Avenida de Castilla". When you reach the end of the avenue, turn left following the signs for ferry. Continue 700m and bear right, then at the roundabout take the third exit and go through the Port of Santander Control Point (also signed for "Ferry" in orange). The station is 5-10 minutes' walk from the terminal with services to Madrid, Bilbao, Alicante and Oviedo. RENFE is the national railway system and has links to almost every town in Spain.
RENFE offers a Spain Pass which is valid for one month's rail travel and gives access to the whole country. Customers can select between 4-12 train journeys within this one month period for a set price. The bus station is a 5-10 minutes walk from the terminal with direct connections to Madrid and Bilbao.
If you're travelling by coach, you'll need to check in as a foot passenger at the ferry terminal and the coach will board the ferry.
Taxis can be ordered through the Santander town taxi service (Tel. (00 34) 942 33 33 33). Taxis are available when the ferry arrives in Santander. A fare to the main hotels in the town will cost between 6-10€.

Foot passengers access the ship via an escalator or a lift from the first-floor of the terminal building to the ship's gangway. If you require additional assistance, your boarding may take slightly longer than usual.
The layout of the port means there is a distance between the car park and the terminal building. It is around 10-15 minutes walk and can be difficult for wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility.
Once through check-in, dogs on a lead are allowed in all areas of the port including the coffee shop. Dogs are not allowed to leave the port.
Once past the border controls, dogs cannot leave your vehicle.
Parking is only permitted for dropping off and picking up. Passengers wishing to park for longer must use one of the paying car parks nearby. Vehicles are parked at your own risk. Please note that there are parking restrictions throughout Santander for any vehicle over 1.8m in height.
