Duty free has returned on board when you sail to and from the UK to France or Spain.

From duty free savings on tobacco and spirits and wines – with many of your favourite tipples, and new tastes, yet to be discovered – to unmissable discounts on top brands, including Chanel, Dior, Hugo Boss, and Jean Paul Gaultier; plus your favourites from cosmetics and skincare.

Travelling from / to the EU from the UK

There is a limit to the number of duty free products you can bring back. Your allowance will vary depending on whether you are travelling to an EU country from the UK or returning to the UK from the EU.

Beer, Wine, Spirits & Tobacco	Allowance
Wine	18 litres of still wine
Spirits	4 litres of spirits or alcohol over 22% ABV OR 9 litres of sparkling wine or fortified wine or other alcoholic drink less than 22% ABV
Tobacco	200 cigarettes OR 100 cigarillos OR 50 cigars OR 250g tobacco OR any proportional combination of the above
Any other goods	£390 worth of any goods such as fragrances, cosmetics, souvenirs, gifts and electrical products

DUTY FREE ALLOWANCE ENTERING THE EU


Beer, Wine, Spirits & Tobacco	Allowance
Wine	4 litres of still wine
Spirits	1 litre of spirits or alcohol over 22% ABV OR 2 litres of sparkling wine or fortified wine or other alcoholic drink less than 22% ABV
Tobacco	200 cigarettes OR 100 cigarillos OR 50 cigars OR 250g tobacco OR any proportional combination of the above
Any other goods	430€ (150€ if under 15) worth of any goods such as fragrances, cosmetics, souvenirs, gifts and electrical products

This allowance is the maximum you can bring back whether bought duty free or duty paid. Duty paid items are any items purchased in France or Spain i.e. in supermarkets, shops etc. Should you exceed this, you will be charged duty on the full amount in your possession.

Passengers aged over 18 years travelling between the United Kingdom (UK) and France or Spain (EU) may purchase the above items for personal use without paying tax or duty. It is each individual’s responsibility to ensure that they do not exceed their allowances. If you do not declare any additional items to customs, you will be required to pay the tax or duty, or have your items seized.

DUTY PAID ALLOWANCE ENTERING SPAIN FROM ANOTHER EU COUNTRY

Wine	90 litres of still wine
Spirits	10 litre of spirits or alcohol over 22% ABV AND 20 litres of sparkling wine or fortified wine or other alcoholic drink less than 22% ABV
Tobacco	800 cigarettes AND 400 cigarillos AND 200 cigars AND 1kg tobacco
