About Cork ferry port

Cork Ferry Port, also known as Ringaskiddy Ferry Port, is situated on the South Coast of Ireland, about 30-40 minutes drive away from central Cork. There is an efficient road network providing easy access to and from the ferry terminal.

Check-in times:

Passengers must check in at least 45 minutes before departure. If you are checking in with a pet, you must arrive at least 90 minutes before departure.

From Cork city centre, take the N27 southbound towards the N40. Merge onto the eastbound N40 (Cork South Ring Road), then take Exit 9 onto the N28 towards Ringaskiddy port. The port is approximately 30 to 40 minutes from Cork city.

There is no direct bus service between Cork city centre and Ringaskiddy port. However, Bus Eireann operate the no.223 bus service between the city centre and Ringaskiddy village, which is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the port terminal. Please check online for further details.

There are no facilities available in the terminal building. However, the local village bar (about 1 mile away) offers light snacks and more substantial meals can be found in the nearest town to the port which is about 4 miles away.

For passengers with limited mobility who do not have their own wheelchair and require assistance, the port provides and operates an electric wheelchair to embark and disembark passengers on and off the ship.

Dogs are not allowed to leave the car once they have passed security.

The nearest park is Currabinny Woods which is a 20 minute drive away. From the port take the R613 towards the south and turn left onto Seamount at the Curraghbinny sign and continue for approximately 3kms.

Parking is only permitted for dropping off and picking up. Passengers wishing to park for longer must use one of the nearest paying car parks at Cork Airport. Vehicles parked at the port are parked at owners risk.
