Caen ferry port in Ouistreham is 15km north of Caen itself and has direct access onto the autoroute fast road network for a convenient onward journey into France.

The terminal is well sign-posted from the main access routes around Caen as "CAR FERRY". The autoroute is close to the port and offers easy access to Paris, the Loire, the south, and Brittany.
Take the N175 to Mont St Michel and Brittany. Use the N13 for Bayeux and Cherbourg. The N158 leads to Le Mans and the Loire Valley.
The city of Caen (inside the Caen ringroad) is within a low-emissions zone (ZFE). Our port at Ouistreham is not included in this zone. Other cities operating zones include Rouen, Le Havre, Rennes and Nantes. You must display the Crit'Air sticker for your vehicle and follow the procedures for driving in these areas. Stickers cost less than €5 including postage and should be purchased from the French government site. If you drive in a zone without displaying a sticker you may be fined.
The nearest railway station is in Caen, about 18km from the port. Regular TER and Intercité services depart from Caen train station to Paris St Lazare.
There are usually taxis waiting outside the terminal for ship arrivals and departures. If there are no taxis, the tourist information desk can call a taxi for you.
Taxi fares from the terminal to Caen train station range from around €38 during the day (7am to 7pm) to €53 in the evening (7pm to 7am).
Twisto operates the bus service between Ouistreham and Caen. The route takes you to Caen city centre and buses depart about 500 yards from the terminal. View timetables and further details on the Twisto website.
This service does not run for evening ferry arrivals or departures and the buses are not adapted for disabled travellers.

As well as parking in the port car park, you can park your vehicle in the vehicle check-in lanes overnight (after the last departure of the day) if you are travelling on the first departure in the morning.
