Our land, Brittany
The identity and taste of our products is tied intrinsically to Brittany itself:
Our water is drawn from a granite fault located directly under the distillery
Our cereals (conventional Breton wheat and organic French barley) are sourced locally
Our maritime climate, specific to the north coast of Brittany...
This environment shapes the taste of our spirits, and is the reason the distillery has always been involved in the collective process of recognition, in particular the Geographical Indication (GI) Breton Whisky.
GI Breton whisky
In 2015, the distillery took part in the creation of the Breton Whisky Geographical Indication, allowing it to promote "Breton Whisky". The GI provides a guarantee of transparency for the whisky lover; all "Whisky Breton" or "Whisky de Bretagne" must comply with strict specifications, guaranteeing its quality and the expertise of the distiller. It must be brewed with water drawn from Brittany, and fermented, distilled and aged in Brittany.
Anne, Gianni and Alwen will share more 100 years of Armorican know-how during their guided tour. At the heart of the distillery see the distillers at work before, of course, the obligatory whisky tasting session.
