Alceda Spa
Located in a beautiful 19th century building in the Toranzo Valley, on the banks of the River Pas, is the Balneario Alceda. Surrounded by spectacular scenery in an area renowned for its prehistoric caves, the spa has access to a plentiful spring of sulphurous water, which releases water at a constant temperature of 26.87C.
The waters are recommended for dermatological, respiratory and rheumatological treatments, as well as cosmetic and relaxation treatments, all given under medical supervision.
Treatments on offer include thermal and hydrotherapy baths, cryotherapy, inhalations, a jacuzzi, and a dry sauna. Some treatments use paraffin and sea mud. Relaxing and therapeutic massages and lymphatic drainage massages are also available.

Liérganes Spa
This spa is housed inside a traditional Casona Montañesa just 15 minutes from Santander at the Hotel Termas de Liérganes. Its waters are used in treatments for rheumatism, skin and respiratory problems, and stress.
The spa has good selection of treatments for asthma sufferers and those with other respiratory disorders as the waters are said to have antiseptic and bronchodilatory properties. Various thermal baths, a Scottish shower and a flotarium are just some of the hydrotherapy treatments on offer.
You can also indulge mind and body with a selection of body wraps using sea mud, seaweed and paraffin and there is a host of massages to choose from whether you want a full body massage for relaxation or something more focused such as lymphatic drainage or anti-cellulite massage.

Corconte Spa
Near the town of Reinosa, and close to the province of Burgos, the Gran Hotel Balneario de Corconte is great for those looking for some active tourism during their spa break.
There is a host of activities nearby including the wildlife haven of Cabárceno Natural Park and the Alto Campoo ski station for those who love hitting the peaks. It's also close to the source of the Ebro river.

The waters here are recommended for treating ailments of the circulatory, respiratory and locomotive systems. They are also said to help with problems such as anxiety, depression and phobias.
