The spacious (7 hectares) Le Tropicana site is set in the heart of a pine forest and has numerous exotic plants and warm coloured buildings. The nearest sandy beach is at Saint Hilaire de Riez which is just a 10 minute walk (800m) away via a lane. Great on site facilities include a fabulous new outdoor pool complex with amazing waterslides including a daring 'space hole'.

The beaches of St Jean de Monts which stretch for 8km are some of the finest in the Vendée where all kinds of seaside activities are available and sand yachting is particularly popular. There are also daily markets throughout the summer, a wide choice of bars and tempting restaurants, mini golf and an excellent water park - Atlantic Toboggan at St Hilaire de Riez (6km). The charming port of St Gilles Croix de Vie (11km), the rugged coastline and panoramic views of Sion sur l'Océan (10km) and the Ile de Noirmoutier (25km) are all also worth a visit.
