Pavillon de Subleine

This former hunting lodge, which has been beautifully renovated, is in a fabulous location in the heart of the Loire Valley. This is the only one of 7 lodges built by the Princess of Breuil from Chaumont that still stands today and local legend claims there is an underground tunnel from the lodge to the castle in Chaumont although it hasn't been found yet as far as we know. There are other buildings on site and all accommodation is on the ground level with high ceilings and parquet floors.

Lovely kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Washing machine and tumble dryer in cellar. Breakfast room. Spacious living room with superb dining area, ornamental fireplace and a cosy and comfortable lounge with inset fireplace, tv, dvd player and views over the garden and pool. 4 bedrooms - a double, a small twin, a single and a huge triple with a king size and single bed which was once slept in by the Princess of Breuil! Duvets. Large shower room/wc. Bath/shower room. Wc. Travel cot, high chair and booster seat. Huge enclosed grounds with large fenced pond for fishing. Patio with furniture and bbq.

Private Pool: 8m x 4m and 1.4m deep with safety cover. Heated, May-September for the exclusive use of clients. Sun loungers.

Firewood 10€ per load. Wi-Fi. Pets not accepted.

If you enjoy cycling, the Loire à Vélo route passes just in front of the gite. It is the best way to discover the treasures of the Loire Valley.

Chaumont sur Loire and its beautiful château and themed gardens is just 4km from here. In summer boat rides are available from the village along the river.
