Yes, you can take your motorbike on board any of our ferries to France or Spain. It will be secured in the ship's garage during the crossing.
Once you drive on board the ferry, a crew member will secure your motorbike using ratchet straps that are fixed to the floor and go across the seat of your motorbike. Thick foam pads are placed across your bike to prevent any damage by the heavy-duty ratchet straps and chocks are used where appropriate. All crew members are well-practised in securing all types of bikes and take great care not to damage your motorcycle.
Yes, you can ride your motorbike in France or Spain if you have a suitable driving license, documentation and safety equipment. Both these countries have excellent roads for motorcyclists to discover.
You must have a valid driving license for your vehicle type and proof of ownership of your vehicle (V5C). In some circumstances, you may need an International Driving Permit (IDP). You should also have vehicle insurance with coverage for driving in Europe. You must display a UK (not GB) identifier on your vehicle.
