Bénodet is a picturesque yachting resort on the Odet estuary where the main attraction is the lovely Trez beach which offers many activities including a children's club and watersports. There are other smaller beaches and rocky coves around to visit including Pointe du Coq where, due to its position, it catches the very last rays of the day's sunshine. The surrounding countryside here is beautiful too and a delight to explore by foot or bicycle (rental available at hotel). For a great day out head up river to Quimper, for its pottery, or visit the scenic Iles de Glénan, often referred to as Breton Tahiti due its expanses of white sand. The islands lie about 16km off the coast and boat trips leave daily from the harbour in summer.
