OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH
CARLOS NÚÑEZ

Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网 in partnership with musician Carlos Núñez
The unique region we call home spans the Celtic lands of Europe, so when crafting a new musical identity, it was clear that Celtic music would naturally embody the spirit of Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网. And after meeting Galician musician Carlos Núñez, we knew we had found the perfect partner for this endeavour.
"I myself have had the privilege to experience the sensations of these sea routes. And it is from that magic that this album is born, like a journey." - Carlos Núñez.
About the album 'Celtic Sea'
As part of our 50-year anniversary celebrations, we invited Carlos Núñez to collaborate with us by creating a new album. The collaboration marks the start of a wonderful adventure fuelled by a shared passion for the sea, travel and uniting the brotherhood of the Celtic peoples.
"We first met Carlos at the 50th anniversary celebration of Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网 at Morlaix, at the concert. The show was so great, so dynamic - there was such a special atmosphere that we said we have to find a way to work together to create a musical identity for Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网" - Christophe Mathieu, CEO, Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网.
What followed was the creation of 'Celtic Sea', a journey not just into the music that unites the Celtic regions, but also a journey through time. The album features inter-Celtic musicians, from the ages of 20 to 80 years old, playing traditional instruments - even including reconstructed prehistoric lyres.
"To celebrate we have decided to create a new music that represents our philosophy of life, always linked to the inter-Celtic spirit that leads Brittany, the geographical centre of all Atlantic Celts. Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网 is simply continuing a 10,000 year old tradition of exchanges across the Celtic Sea" - Carlos Núñez.
How to listen to the album
Wondering what the wake-up music is in your cabin when travelling on board? It's a variation of our new anthem, Mare brittanicum, the medieval name of the Celtic Sea.
You'll hear tracks from the album at various times throughout your sailing, in the public areas of our ships, including when departing and arriving in your destination. Tracks from the album are dedicated to different parts of the Celtic regions so you'll hear different music depending on where you're going or coming from!
You can purchase CD copies of 'Celtic Sea' in our onboard shops or stream it from your favourite streaming service.
The making of the album 'Celtic Sea'
Carlos Núñez travelled aboard our ships, finding his inspiration while sailing to our fabulous destinations. From there the album 'Celtic Sea' came to life.
"This music is born of the sea and the connections it has provided to the Celtic peoples of the Atlantic for thousands of years [...] I hope you enjoy this music that is the result of the history of a brotherhood of artists who enjoy this sea, the true spirit and muse of Celtic music" - Carlos Núñez.
