Hotel le Brittany & Spa, a splendid old manor house, sits just above a sandy beach and overlooks the fishing port and beyond that the Ile de Batz, close to the ferry terminal. It was moved from elsewhere, rebuilt stone by stone and then extended to create what is today - an excellent, friendly hotel. Its Michelin starred gourmet restaurant (closed Mon/Tue October-April) has wonderful sea views and the stylish bedrooms have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The lounge is full of character and has a huge stone fireplace making this a cosy place to relax in cooler months. A range of wellbeing treatments is available in the hotel spa which has a heated indoor pool, Turkish bath, massage and wrap cabins, balneotherapy and a herbal tearoom. Bicycles can be hired too. Pet accepted 35€/night.

Foot passengers - the hotel is approximately 700m from the terminal which is about a 10-15 minute walk. Alternatively, taxis are available for around 8€.

Around a 10 minute walk from the hotel is the Jardin Exotique et Botanique, a beautiful collection of tropical plants, cacti, agaves and aloes which thrive in the micro climate here - and there are also stunning views across the bay. And don't miss a trip by boat across the harbour to the pretty Ile de Batz where the only cars allowed belong to the locals and most people travel by bicycle. The island has lovely beaches, gardens and a lighthouse and you can walk the coastal footpath or follow cycle trails through attractive countryside. Morlaix is a train trip away and this medieval town and river port makes a great day out.
