Hotel le Bellevue 3*

The charming Hotel Bellevue is an extended 19th century Normandy villa and annexe in a fabulous location up on a cliff overlooking the sea. The lovely garden has panoramic views which you can enjoy from the restaurant (no lunch time service) or when dining on the terrace in summer - the impressive gastronomy here has a fine reputation - whilst the spacious bedrooms are traditionally furnished and have a sea view. There is a lift in the annexe but not in the main villa.

On the enchanting Côte Fleurie midway between Trouville and Honfleur, Villerville is a small coastal village that developed into a resort towards the end of the 19th century but unlike its more popular neighbours did not become as popular and as a result is much quieter. It has been the subject of many an artist and is a lovely place to stay when exploring this interesting coastline. Known locally as the village of books due to its many book shops, it has a long promenade-backed beach and some lovely Belle Epoque villas, as well as an interesting church and the Parc des Graves - a protected natural area with marked footpaths, ponds, wildlife and plants.
