The ship also features a range of state-of-the-art navigation and safety management systems making it not only one of the most comfortable channel cruise ferries afloat, but also one of the best equipped.

The vessel was designed to replace the mv Duc de Normandie and would run alongside the Normandie on the Portsmouth to Caen route.
