A firm favourite of our clients, the stylish Gran Hotel Sardinero is opposite the casino and near the former Royal Palace in a smart residential area that is lively at night. Overlooking the sea and beautiful beach from which it takes its name, the modern accommodation has well equipped air conditioned bedrooms all with air conditioning and a light and spacious atrium lounge. Other facilities include a bar/cafeteria with sea views and a lovely restaurant where menus feature traditional dishes with seasonal products. Garage parking (limited) approx. 17€/night or free street parking. Due to the Sardinero's central position, bars, shops and restaurants are all close by and a frequent bus service operates to the city centre.

For those travelling without a car, taxis are available from the terminal or you can catch a bus from outside the post office (200m).

Cycling is a great way to get around so why not hire a bike from opposite the hotel - it's a public service so the charges are cheap - and follow the marked path that runs along the seafront from one end of Santander to the other and beyond. On a nice day it's a great way to see the city and its good exercise too!
