Le Jardin aboard Saint-Malo

Discover our new dining experiences

Breton flavours & hospitality – key ingredients in our bars & restaurants

Our dining experience has long been the most-loved part of the leisurely sailings linking Portsmouth and St Malo; something we are proud to continue onboard Saint-Malo. What’s more, this brand-new LNG-hybrid ship will bring that experience to a new level, with three restaurants catering to every passenger’s tastes and appetite.

Le Jardin

Created especially for both our new ships, Saint-Malo and Guillaume de Normandie, Le Jardin, brings a new dining concept to the Brittany Ferries 澳洲幸运10十168体彩开奖网 fleet.

Inspired by modern dining trends, Le Jardin is a relaxed, yet (if needed) fast, counter-style servery focussed on healthier living and sustainability – at an affordable price.

A celebration of fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, it has been created with some key beliefs at its heart:

  • Supporting local – to ensure provenance of ingredients, many of which will be sourced within 160km of our home ports

  • Promoting healthier dining – our dishes contain less salt and sugar and zero palm oil

  • Serving sustainable meat and seafood – to create dishes using more sustainable meat options, as well as more plant-based dishes

  • Reducing our environmental impact – our mission to reduce waste targets and energy consumption, plus the use of recyclable, washable and reusable tableware

The menu offers a wide range of pre-prepared and cooked-to-order dishes combining vegetables picked from the farmlands of Brittany, alongside regional meats and sustainable seafood and fish.

From light bites to mains, vegetarian and vegan, there's a wide choice of new and exciting dishes – as well as a few favourites – plus, some regional classics including Breton galettes and crêpes.

Better still, as with all our onboard dining, Le Jardin offers a choice of great value menu meal deals.

Le Littoral

Introducing Le Littoral, our French brasserie at sea. The larger of our restaurants on board, here the sea views take centre stage alongside our excellent service and menus – including or ever-popular and delicious, buffet dining experience.

Its elegant decor is inspired by the blueish hues of the Breton coasts and the golden tones of the region’s fields. Likewise, its dishes too take their cues from the seas and the lands of Brittany.

On the lunch and dinner menus you’ll find something for every taste, appetite and pocket, from our buffet selection to a choice of sumptuous main dishes – prepared on board by French chefs, of course – with a selection of typical Breton specialities, all sourced using local produce that changes with the seasons.

Children can also enjoy the chance to eat like Mum and Dad too, with smaller portions, followed by a dessert buffet!

To accompany your meal, choose from a fine selection of wines from all over France. Connoisseurs will appreciate the special selection of lesser-known vintages, unearthed by our very own wine experts.

For breakfast, an irresistible continental buffet awaits, with the aroma of fresh pastries and coffee. And for those needing a little more, a full cooked breakfast, to ready you for the road ahead.

CClub

For a special gastronomic experience, created especially for Saint-Malo, head to our exclusive CClub; a luxurious and relaxed lounge-restaurant with amazing panoramic sea views over the ship’s bow.

Here you can enjoy three different dining experiences – including a new take on our famous buffet dining menus – whether sailing by day, or overnight.

Sail overnight and discover the CClub’s refined dinner buffet, with oysters, langoustines, and Breton specialities, followed by French desserts and accompanied by a fine wine list.

Oysters on ice

Delicious oysters are just some of the highlights in Saint-Malo’s CClub Lounge

For those sailing by day, the CClub offers the perfect retreat for a relaxing time at sea, with an all-day buffet of sweet and savoury gourmet snacks, with delicious hot dishes served at lunchtime.

Space in the CClub is limited, so booking ahead of your sailing is highly recommended – this can be done either at the time of booking, or by logging in to ‘My Account’.

Passengers travelling in Commodore Class cabins enjoy exclusive access to the Commodore lounge: ‘Les 8 Trésors’. Here you can enjoy complementary hot and cold drinks and snacks – as well as your breakfast, included in your cabin price.

The beating heart of Saint-Malo its bar, named ‘Breizh Ma Bro’ (‘Brittany, my Country’ in Breton). Here, you’ll enjoy an authentic festive Breton atmosphere whatever the time of day.

Take a seat under the skylight decorated in the style of Brittany’s ‘Gwenn-ha-Du’ flag, and enjoy performances by the singers, musicians and magicians on stage.
