Crown Resorts Club Marbella

Halfway between Marbella and Fuengirola, Crown Resorts Club Marbella is a charming, well maintained complex and an excellent year-round holiday resort. The 195 apartments are in 3/4 storey buildings (no lifts) surrounding a heated outdoor pool and sun terrace or shrub lined garden area with orange trees, covered picnic areas and seating.

There are numerous facilities which are mainly free and include an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, internet café, hairdresser, beauty treatments, restaurant (closed 09 - 17 Dec 2025) for breakfast and lunch only, bar (free limited Wi-Fi ), boules, mini golf, squash court and American pool tables, the list is endless! Reception can also book off site excursions and activities. Free parking is opposite.

A 200m downhill walk leads to a small, but well stocked, mini market and an assortment of restaurants and bars. And, if you can manage to tear yourselves away from the many activities available on site, there is also a shuttle which operates between the site and local shops/other nearby Crown complexes or, for a small charge, the beach.

If you fancy visiting some of the larger towns and resorts, but you don't wish to drive, a good public bus service runs from the main road to Fuengirola and Marbella. Its also easy to get to Gibraltar from here which is an interesting day out.

The apartments can be on any level but all have steps to access. Free Wi-Fi for up to 2 devices. Linen and towels are provided, but there are no changes or cleaning included in the prices. However, it can be arranged on site if required for a small charge. Pets are not allowed. A credit card imprint is required as a breakage deposit.

These apartments are more contemporary than those above and have air conditioning/heating. Some are duplex with the bedrooms on the upper level, the rest are single storey.

Calahonda

Sitio de Calahonda is a large tourist development between Marbella and Fuengirola popular with the British and other visitors who holiday here or own timeshare properties. Stretching from the coast into the hills behind the A7, it's an excellent base for exploring the Costa del Sol as it is pretty central.

A 2 minute drive to the west is the picturesque port of Puerto Cabopino where you'll find some of the coast's most popular restaurants whilst driving east brings you to Miraflores, a golf and bowls resort beyond which is the beautiful white-washed village of Mijas Pueblo, one of the jewels of the Costa del Sol. There are also at least 10 golf courses within a 10k radius.

Costa del Sol, Spain

The Costa del Sol is renowned as being the most cosmopolitan and affluent of all the Spanish Costas, and the golf hub of Europe. The scenery is fabulous with mountains on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. The choice of leisure facilities is superb too including picturesque marinas, museums, restaurants, casinos, water sports and great sightseeing and shopping opportunities in lively towns such as Malaga and, of course, Gibraltar.
